The Chef and the others
In the world of RTL Klub's brand new sitcom, the restaurant ‘Monet’ is one of the best fine dining places in Budapest. But Győző, the alcoholic and sports betting addict Chef (Zoltán Schneider) thinks this is definitely the best restaurant on the planet. The kitchen is full of strange fellows: a fish cook with a past connected to the underworld, a knife virtuoso who is stealing from the kitchen, a stuttering souschef, a gay pastry chef from France, and a Russian handyman. Chef often refers to the others as idiots, but - as he puts it in an emotional moment - these are his idiots, only he can really control them, so they can create world-class cuisine under his direction.
Milán (Zsombor Jéger) drops into this eccentric team as a rookie cook, and although the Chef is not happy about him at first, he takes him under his wings and tries to make a chef and man out of the cheeky and immature Milán in his own raw and rhapsodic ways. Viki (Evelin Dobos), the restaurant’s pretty managing director, has a one-night stand with Milán just before the guy shows up to work at the restaurant.
